WHO:
Ohio auto recyclers from across the state whose livelihoods are at risk thanks to Senate Bill 273
WHAT:
Recyclers will parade severely damaged salvage vehicles around the grounds of the Ohio Statehouse to give a first-hand look at the dangerous vehicles that could be returned to the roads of Ohio and made easily available to criminals should the bill pass Ohio recyclers will join together in solidarity at the House Insurance Committee hearing to speak out against and demonstrate their strong opposition to SB 273
WHEN:
From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4 the salvage vehicles will be paraded through the streets near the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus The recyclers will express their strong opposition to the bill at the House Insurance Committee Hearing at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4
WHERE:
The salvage vehicles will make a continuous circuit through the streets immediately adjacent to the Ohio Statehouse The hearing will be held at the Ohio Statehouse in Room 017
WHY:
The proposed legislation, which seeks to open automotive salvage pool auctions to unqualified purchasers, would kill Ohio jobs, endanger consumers, damage the environment, and limit law enforcement.
